We’re excited to introduce Kemon Randolph as the latest addition to the Triple C family! πΆ With his rich musical heritage, passion for classic rock and blues, and an impressive collection of gear, Kemon is ready to bring a whole new level of energy to our sound. We sat down with Kemon to learn more about his journey in music, his influences, and what drives him as a guitarist.
A Musical Heritage πΌ
Music runs deep in Kemon’s family. “I came from a pretty musical family,” he shares. His father was a bass player, his mother played the violin, and his grandmother played piano. Even his uncles were musicians—one a drummer and the other a guitarist who gifted Kemon his first guitar when he was just about ten years old. πΈ With roots like these, it’s no surprise that Kemon found his calling with the guitar.
Influences Shaping His Sound πΆ
When asked about his biggest influences, Kemon’s list of legends speaks volumes. “Eddie Van Halen, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Johnson, B.B. King,” he recalls, revealing the diverse foundation of his style. πΆ After a serious hand injury that required a pin through his left index finger, Kemon leaned even more into blues, mastering his bar chords and embracing the raw expression of the genre. His time with blues helped shape the depth and emotion he brings to his playing today.
A Lead Guitar Style Led by Emotion π΅
Kemon’s approach to lead guitar is straightforward: “All by what I'm feeling at the moment,” he explains. Playing by ear, Kemon relies on his intuition and passion to drive each note. πΈ This flexibility and instinct ensure that every solo he plays is as unique as it is heartfelt—a perfect match for the dynamic sound of Triple C.
Favorite Styles and Sounds ποΈ
For Kemon, classic rock and blues are his bread and butter, but he also loves original songwriting. πΌ These genres give him the freedom to explore, creating sounds that resonate deeply with audiences and stay true to his musical roots.
Memorable Gigs π€
There’s no shortage of memorable moments in Kemon’s career, but one gig stands out: the Chesterton Street Festival. “We opened up for Karen Waldrup; she was CMA’s Country Artist of the Year,” he recalls. The large crowd, electric atmosphere, and generous paycheck made the experience unforgettable. β¨ It's memories like these that keep him inspired to perform.
Gear Talk ποΈ
Gear lovers, you’re in for a treat! Kemon’s setup includes a mix of iconic brands and powerful equipment. “I use Fender, a 5150 half stack, a Marshall half stack, EVH guitars, Fenders, and Music Man,” he says. πΈ As for pedals, Boss and MXR are his go-to choices, giving him the versatility he needs to craft his unique sound on stage.
Beyond the Stage π
When he’s not shredding with Triple C, Kemon keeps busy with a range of interests. He’s an avid collector of Hot Wheels π, 80s BMX bikes π΄βοΈ, and has a soft spot for his Mustang. This creative spirit and appreciation for vintage collectibles reflect his love for all things classic and timeless.

It’s worth it,” he advises. πΆ For him, music is more than just sound; it’s a remedy for life’s stresses, a source of joy, and a way to connect. “What an awful place this world would be without music.
